this photo really showshow much different children think than adults. if this picture were with adults, it would look so fake, almost like they were forced to do it.
but with children, they don't realize the difference. they just see each other as children, not as black or white.

I think this picture exhibits the friendship between and Etheopian and Russian Jew. They are both children, and although their race differs, they are still friends. The Etheopian boy has his arm around the Russian, signifying that they are friends and he is an important friend to him. This photo is somewhat touching, because it portrays that they are young and they are friends no matter what.

i think it is
so cute and good that these little boys don't care about the color of each others skin.

this picture shows 2 little kids who are just friends. they dont judge each other and they and they dont care about the color of someones skin. i think this picture shows that kids are not as judgemental as adults are,and that kids accept all different kinds of people not caring what race they are.

Hi! This is Kelly and Lilly on Lillys account. We both think that this picture shows something very important to all people, not just
Jews. It shows that no matter what race or religion, all people are created equal and should be treated equally. And even though we live in a world of hate, there are still pictures like this to show you that there is love in this world :).

This photo shows the true innocnece of kids. The kids are bot looking at the color of their skin, but concentrating on how much fun they are having.

Shalom,
In this picture there is an Ethiopian Jew and a Soviet Union Jew who have both just moved to Israel. They are living in the absorbtion camps. The boys are little so just as many little kids tese kids do not even notice te difference between them. Just like it should be, the boys dont notice that one is black and one is white since it truly makes no difference.
They also only wish to be friends and their innocence is great and we should learn from it.
Little kids always show us how we should be.

This photo really spoke to me. The two little boys, one being Ethiopian and one being a Russian, are truly role models for the whole world. The two boys don't care about what color the skin of their friend is. They like each other because they can get along because truly they are just the same, except for the color of their skin.

I believe this picture shows the true co-existence of different color skins in modern day Jews. This shows the true innocence in children. They see the world clearer than adults. They don't see prejuduces, or stereotypes. These boys are laughing together, and playing together. It shows the triumph of freedom.

Kayley said...

It doesn't matter to these little boys that they are from different places and cultures. They found each other, and now they are best friends.

Hey. I think that this picture shows how Jews from all over the world, no matter how different they might look or might act, share the same Jewish values. I also think that it is so important that Jews from different parts of the world and from different races can still laugh and get along together. This photo also shows how Jews have such an easier life than adults because they don't have to worry about their color differences. It shows the simpleness of life before they are negatively influenced about people that they don't even know. It is wonderful that they can cooperate so well together.

This picture shows the difference between children and adults. Children will play with eachother no matter what color their skin is. Children are more inoccent and dont care about things like race, heritage, or other things adults argue about. They are naive to this and for that they are lucky.

Kianna said...

I agree with everyone, that it really shows the innocence of childhood. The picture shows that even though the children are different races, they are still gret friends. They don't care about the color of their skin, they see each other as equals, as pals. I think they are role modles to the adult world, when you grow up you gain many wonderdul things, such as intelligence, but you also lose innocence.

I think this photo shows the different races of children, doesnt effect them. This picture really shows how everyone can be friends. The etheopian boy has his arm around the Russian, which shows that they are really good friends. No matter what race you are, or what religion you are, it doesnt matter because we are all treated equal.

this picture shows that everyoe can coexsist if we just let eachother in. These children are not thinking about eachothers skin color they are thinking about how much the other person is important. They are such great role models to adults because they do not have any peerpresure to be one way or another they just are. They do not think about eachthers backrounds, because they do not have to and niether should adults.

Becca Spigel said...

This photo really show's how the whole world should be. It shouldn't matter what color a person's skin is or where they are from. This photo is so beautiful because it reflects a child's innocence to be so blind to race and that is what so many people have trouble dealing with today. They are our role models.

sam said...

the photo shows how two boys can still come together as Jews without the color of their skin affecting there relationship.

This picture shows how even though they are different races, this does not stop them from being friends. They have such a strong bond, that they do not even notice that they are differnt. They see eachother as children just trying to play and have fun.

Hello.
As most of you know America just elected it's first black president. This picture represents that nothing other than your belief can bring together two people from different enviorments, countries and continents. These boys look like they are friends telling eachother secrets. They seem to share their thoughts and feelings. The photographer really captured the moment and proved that skin color dosen't matter.
President-elect Obama was elected just yesterday and proved to the world that are world is changing.

lindsay said...

I think this picture shows how innocent and loving kids are. They have their arms around eachother and they aren't judging one another by the color of their skin. It shows how children are kinder than adults in a way because they are more accepting. They aren't racist and judge people instead by their personality. This picture wouldn't be realistic if it were adults because adults usually wont be so open to differnet kinds of people that are of a different race than their own.

kb said...

Hello this Kolbey and Daniel. This inspiring photograph strongly portrays how two different races can truly get along as one people. The Soviet Union child and the Ethiopian child are treating eachother with respect. They are not judgemental and instead look at eachother for what they really are, children. It is so significant because this picture is completly natural and if it were adults we would believe it was forced. It really gives a sense that these two children are friends and they dont look at eachother any differently.

Shelby Gadol said...

Yesterday we elected the first black president. This relates to this photo because it shows that if you put your mind to something and you truly fight for it, you can accomplish anything, no matter the color of your skin. Barack Obama, our new president, is the direct example of this. People said he couldn't do it, but he proved all of them wrong. The United States is changing for the better and is also changing America in the eyes of the world.

yosefpresburger1994 said...

I believe this picture does a very good job showing the fact that for little kids it doesn't matter what race you are or where you come from, they just want to be friends. The picture also shows how it is possible for someone that looks different and comes from a totally different country to become part of the community. I think the whole world should see this attitude as an example of how everyone should treat each other.

Also, last night America held a historical election. For the first time in American history, we elected the first African American president. This picture shows breakthroughs of segregation in the past and currently. Barack Obama has been electeed president with no prejudice against the fact that he was African American.

This picture shows that children havea a totally different way of look at someone. They dont care what color skin they have, they just are friends. I think kids truely set the example for their parents and peers. If everyone could treat eachother like these boys the world would be a much better place. : D

Have you interacted with any Ethiopian Jews? How have they been accepted into your community?

What do you guys think??
Do kids get along like this in Israel too? Do adults? we just had our election and we now have our first aferican-american president and that will bring change to our country, most people will be okay with it just like these 2 kids in the picture but some people are still recist. What do you guys think will happen with our government and our country?

This is Jenna and Adam on Jenna's blog. We agree with Lilly and Kelly because they said that no matter what race or religion, all people are created equal and should be treated equally. It's interesting to think that some adults care so much more about the color of your skin than kids do. We wish that everyone could be so kind to each other no matter what color skin they have. Yesterday America elected its first african-american president. Before 1965 african-americans weren't even allowed to vote, but now we have one in charge of our country.

LindsayGerard said...

How do you react to this picture? Are there many Etheopian Jews in Israel? If so, do you all get along well?

Justin said...

These children look like the don't care that one is from Ethiopia, and the other is from the Soviet Union. They are just two best friends that don't have a care in the world about what other people think of them. If it was with adults it would not would not have the same effect on me. It shows that it does not matter what race you are to have friends.

Dear Amanda
i absultly agree with you, i think that adults notice things that children not. In this case the Russion kid and the ethiopian kid ignore the difference between them. Although we as modern company don't need to think that , because they are both jewish, they have the same culture.
